Nasoalveolar Molding Before and After

All patients shown in this panel illustrate the value of high quality nasoalveolar molding prior to cleft lip and nose surgery. This technique was invented at our center at New York University by Barry Grayson DDS with significant enhancements by his associate, Larry Brecht DDS. This technique has been scientifically proven to produce better aesthetic results in both unilateral and bilateral cleft lip. In the bilateral cleft lip particularly, I regard nasoalveolar molding as one of the most significant advancements in cleft lip and palate care in my lifetime.
